In frame of cooperation of Hungarian and Serbian geologists, reinforced by Memorandum of Understanding signed in June 2016, the group of 21 geologists from the Geological Society of Hungary, Geological Survey of Hungary, Universities of Budapest, Szeged, Miskolc other institutions and private companies will visit Serbia and extend geological excursion over terrains of Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina. Among others, the tour comprises sites at Tara and Zlatibor Mts., Durmitor Mt., Skadar basin, Boka Kotorska bay, Trebinje – Popovo polje, and Neretva valley.

THE INVITATION FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FOR THE SGS AUTUMN SESSION
We invite all the interested members of the Serbian Geological Society to submit their lectures for the SGS Autumn Session, planned for Friday, October 26, 2018, in the Solemn Hall of the Faculty of Mining and Geology. The SGS Managing Board specifically appeals to the young geologists and students to get involved in the work of the Session and to submit their contributions.

The 168 General Assembly of the Hungarian Geological Society (HGS) decided to grant to our Past – President Prof. Zoran Stevanović (2012-2016) the Honorary Membership Award.
