Excursion of Hungarian geologists in 2019. “Across Dinaric Terrains of Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina”

In frame of cooperation of Hungarian and Serbian geologists, reinforced by Memorandum of Understanding signed in June 2016, the group of 21 geologists from the Geological Society of Hungary, Geological Survey of Hungary, Universities of Budapest, Szeged, Miskolc other institutions and private companies will visit Serbia and extend geological excursion over terrains of Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina. Among others, the tour comprises sites at Tara and Zlatibor Mts., Durmitor Mt., Skadar basin, Boka Kotorska bay, Trebinje – Popovo polje, and Neretva valley.

The excursion will take place between 8-16 September 2019. The programme was prepared by Zoran Stevanović who together with Dragan Milovanović will guide the group. Preceding the trip a small reception for the guests will be organized by our Society on 9 September at the Faculty of Mining & Geology.
